MWPC trains women in the skills they need to run successful,
effective political campaigns. Many of the women who hold
local office and positions in the state legislature began
their political careers with the help of the Massachusetts
Women’s Political Caucus (MWPC). The Annual Campaign
Skills School features renowned national trainers in an
interactive setting with workshops in fundraising, media,
organization building, using the internet for fundraising,
building your database and getting your message out and
campaign finance laws. It also offers its attendees an
opportunity to be taped and critiqued in public speaking
and media interviews. Trainers Suzanne Bates and Robin
Parker Wright have received rave reviews from training
participants. If you are running for office, thinking
of running for office, working on a campaign or advocate
for issues, this is where you learn the skills you need
to be successfully in the political arena.
If you would like to find

Our
next Campaign Skills School is scheduled for
September
10th, 2005.
Please
stay tuned for more information in the coming weeks.
What Women are saying about the MWPC’s
Campaign Skills School:
“I attended the MWPC Campaign Training School
as a new candidate for legislative office. Although
I had worked on a number of campaigns and attended other
campaign schools, the MWPC training was superb as it
is of very high quality and is tailored to women. It
was an empowering experience and I had an opportunity
to meet some terrific women.”
State Representative Deborah Blumer
“MWPC was with me all the way. I sent my
campaign staff to the MWPC Annual Campaign Skills Training
and it received rave reviews.”
State Representative Jennifer Callahan.
“Robin Parker Wright and Suzanne Bates provided
me with the best advice I have ever received regarding
running for office. Listening to their advice helped
me win my election. They are the best.”
Susan Raiche, Saugus Selectman
“Thought you might be interested--I ran in
my first "mini-election" and won against an
incumbent--Town Planning Board and Town Meeting Member
of South Hadley, MA (Western MA). I know it's small
potatoes but it's a start...Fortunately, I didn't have
to organize a huge campaign but I did get some pointers
from the MWPC Campaign Handbook that I received in the
MWPC-sponsored Campaigning 101 workshop in Newton, MA
last year. "
Natalaie Keng, South Hadley Planning Board Member
